Capernaum & the Sea of Galilee
Capernaum was a fishing village located on the north shore of the Sea of Galilee. Many consider this city to be Jesus' home during his ministry years as he spent much time there performing miracles (Luke 7:3, Matthew 14:13-21) and teaching the people (John 6:35-39).
Perhaps one of the better known accounts of Jesus in the area is found in Mark 4 where Jesus, after teaching the people, crossed to the other side. When a storm arises and the disciples call out to Him in fear, he calms the wind and the waves with just a few words.
