DAY 1: APRIL 11, 2018

Depart from Seattle Tacoma International Airport for Frankfurt on Lufthansa flight LH491 at 2pm.  Arrive in Frankfurt at 8:45am.

Day 2: April 12, 2018

Embark from Frankfurt on Lufthansa flight LH686 to Tel Aviv at 10:20am. Arrival at Tel Avive airport at 3:20pm.  Morning visit to old Jaffa port where Jonah fled for Nineveh and Peter received the vision to bring the Gospel to the Gentiles.  Lunch on your own in Old Jaffa before traveling north to the Ramada Hadera for overnight.

DAY 3: APRIL 13, 2018

We begin our tour at Caeserea Marittima, the ancient Herodian port where Peter brought the gospel message to Cornelius.  Paul was imprisoned in Caeserea before being taken to Rome for trial.  We continue Mt. Carmel (Muchracah) where Elijah fought the prophets of Baal and Megido, the ancient Tel in the Jezreel Valley where we will see the many layers of Biblical history.  Late afternoon, we will stop at the Mt. of Precipice overlooking Nazareth and Cana before arriving at our Tiberias hotel: Leonardo Plaza Tiberias.

DAY 4: APRIL 14, 2018

We start today's touring with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus walked and his disciples fished.  From among the other sites we will visit today are the First Century Boat Museum to see the remains of a fishing boat from the time of Jesus, Mt. of Beatitudes overlooking the Galilee region where it is believed that Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount, Capernaum, Peter’s home town the ruins of Peter’s house and the ancient Synagogue, Magdala, Mary Magdalene’s village on the shores of the lake and conclude the day at the Baptismal site on the Jordan River (Yardenit). 

DAY 5: APRIL 15, 2018

This morning we will travel to Israel’s norther border with Lebanon to visit the head springs of the Jordan River at Tel Dan, an ancient town of the tribe of Dan where you will see the ancient city gates including one with a mention of Abraham.  We will also visit the Banias (Caeserea Philippi) Nature Reserve below Mt. Hermon where Peter recognized Jesus as the Messiah. In the afternoon, we will visit the Golan Heights, a plateau overlooking the Galilee on the border of Syria where important modern battles were fought in both 1967 and 1973.  We will have time for prayer for Israel and the Middle East at Mt. Bental.

DAY 6: APRIL 16, 2018

This morning, we will travel south through the Jordan River Valley. Our first stop is the ruins of Beth Shean, an ancient Roman city of the Decapolis near Mt. Gilboa where Saul and Jonathan were killed in battle.  We will continue south past Jericho to the site of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.   We will then check into our Dead Sea hotel (Hod Dead Sea), the lowest place in the face of the earth in time to enjoy the hotel spa and a swim in the medicinal waters of the salt lake.

DAY 7: APRIL 17, 2018

This morning, you will have a few hours to enjoy the Dead Sea and hotel spa.  Late morning we will ascend to Masada, a Herodian fortress and last hold out for the Jewish rebels against Rome in the years 73 and 74 AD.  We continue to the oasis of Ein Gedi where David hid from Saul before traveling through the Judean wilderness past the Good Samaritan Inn.  You will view the city of Gold from Mt. Scopus before checking into your hotel (Ramada Jerusalem).

EVENING OF MEMORIAL DAY which begins at sunset.  This evening begins a national period of mourning for all of Israeli’s fallen.  You will hear sirens at 20:00 when everyone will stand in silence for one minute.

DAY 8: APRIL 18, 2018

(Early morning visit to Temple Mount if the site will be open.) This morning, we will visit the City of David Archaeological site, including Hezekiah’s Tunnel for those interested.  This is the site of the Jebusite city conquered by King David which he made as his capital city and where the Kings of Jerusalem ruled.  We continue up to Mt. Zion where we will visit the Upper Room where Jesus had his last supper with the Disciples and the Holy Spirit fell on the disciples on the day of Pentecost.  You will also see the entrance to what some believe is David’s Tomb.  We will enter the Old City via Zion Gate to Jewish Quarter to visit the Cardo, Broad Wall, Western Wall, and Southern Steps of the Temple which are the remains of the ancient Temple. At 11:00 there will be another siren in memory of Israel’s fallen.

EVENING OF INDEPENDENCE DAY  Join in Celebrations in downtown Jerusalem and view the fireworks from outside of the hotel.

DAY 9: APRIL 19, 2018

Today, we will follow the way of Jesus suffering beginning at the Mt. of Olives overlooking Jerusalem and continue down the Palm Sunday Path to Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed, “Not my will, but Your's be done.” and was arrested by the Romans.  We will enter the Old City via the Lion’s Gate and visit the Pools of Bethesda, the “House of Grace” believed to be where Jesus grandmother Anne had lived and also known as the Sheep’s Gate where Jesus healed the man born lame on the Sabbath.  We continue along the Way of the Cross (Via Dolorosa) through the Old City.  We will also have time to visit Caiaphas House (St. Peter’s of Galicantu), where Peter denied Jesus and conclude the day at the Golgotha and the Garden Tomb for communion.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

DAY 10: APRIL 20, 2018

This morning we will drive past the Supreme Court and view of the Knesset and Menorah.  We will also visit Israel Museum including 2nd Temple Period Model and Shrine of the Book (Qumran scrolls), and Yad VaShem Holocaust Memorial Museum; Israel’s memorial to the more than six million Jewish victims of the Nazi era of hatred.   We will conclude the day with a visit to Bethlehem and Shepherds Field to remember the birth of the Messiah and what He has done to transform our lives and the world.

DAY 11: APRIL 21, 2018

Board AirCanda flight AC085 to Toronto at 11:45am.  Arrive in Toronto at 4:20pm. Depart for Seattle on Air Canada flight AC541 at 7:25pm and arrive at Seatac Airport at 9:45pm/.
