The Dead Sea is an inland body of water located in both Israel and Jordan. The high mineral content of the water is due to this sea being the lowest point on earth. Thus, the lake water doesn't drain and the evaporation causes the minerals to remain behind. Many people visit the Dead Sea yearly and soak in it's mineral rich waters.
