The Golan Heights is a plateau located to the east of the Sea of Galilee. While small, this area boasts some beautiful views. In the Bible, this region is referred to as "Bashan" and was given to the tribe of Manassah as Israel settled in the Promised Land (Joshua 13:29-31).
