Megiddo
Located in the southern region of Galilee, Megiddo has seen many battles fought over the course of history. Part of it's importance comes from it's location on the Via Maris ("Way of the Sea") which was one of three major trade routes in ancient Israel.
This area is also commonly referred to as Armageddon. This word is derived from the Hebrew "Har Megiddo" or Mount of Megiddo and only occurs in the Bible one time in Revelation 16:16.
