Mount Carmel & Muhraka
Mount Carmel is not just a single peak, but rather a coastal mountain range in Northern Israel. This site is perhaps the most famous for being the location where God sent down fire to consume the offering of Elijah (1 Kings 18:16-40).
Muhraka ("the Scorching") is marked by a statue depicting Elijah with a sword raised toward heaven as he kills a prophet of Baal.
